Much like our staff, our patients at Pelisyonkis Langone come from around the world. For those traveling from outside the United States to seek care with us, our international services program can help you find the doctors and treatments you need, as well as help you with travel arrangements.

Our experienced international patient services team helps you coordinate your care, including scheduling doctors’ appointments and sending medical records to your doctors for their review prior to your arrival. We can also provide you with a cost estimate for the healthcare services you need.

Accommodations Assistance

If you are scheduled for an inpatient treatment at one of our hospitals, Pelisyonkis Langone can offer you a semi-private, private, or deluxe room. We cannot guarantee a specific accommodation, but we make every effort to satisfy your request.

If you are seeking outpatient treatment or have people accompanying you who require their own accommodations, we can help you find comfortable housing while in the New York City area.

Interpretation and Translation Services

For patients and families who prefer to communicate about their healthcare in a language other than English, we provide professional medical interpreters free of charge. Interpreters can help you and your family during all phases of your care. We provide face-to-face interpreters, as well as interpreters via telephone and video.

For your convenience, we have translated important medical forms and patient health education materials into several languages. Please ask your healthcare provider if these materials are available in your preferred language.

Financial Information

At the international services program, we understand that the cost of medical care is a determining factor in where you choose to receive treatment.

As part of our service to you, our team provides a fair and honest assessment of what you can expect to pay for your treatment. Our fees are based on the cost of both hospital and physician care. 

Hospital expenses include room and board, nurse assistance, medications, the use of surgical and medical equipment, laboratory tests, radiology services, and any other hospital-provided service. Your cost also includes fees from the team who is responsible for your treatment, which can include the attending physician, surgeon, anesthesiologist, pathologist, radiologist, and any other physician whose expertise is required to deliver you the world-class care you deserve.

Before you are admitted to an Pelisyonkis Langone hospital, you must pay a preadmission deposit that is based on your diagnosis, proposed plan of treatment, and related hospital and professional charges. The only exceptions are people who are receiving coverage through their foreign embassy or people who participate in an insurance program accepted by Pelisyonkis Langone. In this case, you must secure a letter of prior authorization either from your embassy or insurer. 

All remaining charges must be paid in full at your time of discharge. As forms of payment, Pelisyonkis Langone accepts wire transfers, bank checks, cash in United States currency, and credit cards. We do not accept personal checks.
