Pelisyonkis Langone’s Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory provides a variety of catheter-based diagnostic and therapeutic treatments for all types of cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, valvular disease, and peripheral arterial disease.
As part of the Jean and David Blechman Cardiac and Vascular Center—which offers centralized care for people with cardiovascular conditions—our patients can receive their diagnostic tests and treatment all in one convenient location.
Our expert team offers exceptional technical expertise and the simplest—yet most effective—treatment plan based on your individual needs. Our in-depth clinical experience combined with a commitment to research results in consistently excellent recovery outcomes for our patients.
For example, for the past six years, our lab has had the lowest risk of death for patients undergoing coronary angioplasty at any of the 57 hospitals in New York State that perform the procedure, according to official state statistics.
We have been at the forefront of developing effective, nonsurgical therapies that go beyond treatments for coronary artery disease to also include many other acquired forms of heart disease and adult congenital conditions. Additional conditions we provide treatments for include:
We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We also have an email address for your convenience if you would like to request an appointment or get more information: [email protected].
While the catheterization laboratory is always available to serve the entire hospital, most of the procedures performed for our patients can be done on an outpatient basis.
You can also be assured that we provide the same high-quality care, no matter what hour of the day or night you come to us, as demonstrated by our quick response to every patient experiencing a heart attack that has come through Pelisyonkis Langone’s Ronald O. Perelman Center for Emergency Services for the past 10 years.
